Product

yemaozi9873.7″ black-and-white e-ink terminal

The production board from the YEMAOZI e-ink terminal platform. One device that is an e-book reader, a music player, an audiobook player, a comic reader and a diary — plus a single-page web console that manages all of it.

Capabilities

Five jobs, one panel

Not five apps in one shell. The refresh cost of an e-ink panel rules out carrying much at once, so this interface compresses six entries onto one page, and every page answers exactly one question.

01

E-books

TXT and EPUB, four type sizes, and your place is remembered across power loss. Chinese goes through a GB18030 table, so older non-UTF-8 files do not turn to noise.

02

Music

A library off the TF card. MP3, FLAC and WAV. While it plays, only the region that changed is refreshed — the panel never strobes.

03

Audiobooks

Organised by book and chapter, each chapter keeping its own place. Sleep timer and playback speed included.

04

Comics

MOBI and EPD, read a page at a time, resampled from grey to mono so the strokes stay clean.

05

Calendar & to-dos

Lunar dates and solar terms computed on the device, no network. To-dos live on the card, shared by the device and the web console.

06

Web console

Join the access point and manage books, media, backups, battery and firmware updates from a browser.

Interface

The interface

Six entries on one page. Each page answers exactly one question.
